Toulouse v Metz predictions- Two sides in very different areas of the Ligue 1 table meet this Saturday, when Toulouse host Metz. The home side lost their last game 2-1 at Nantes, but won three out of their four games previous to the fixture. The side are now 12th in the division having won four games altogether, and they should be able to stay well clear of the relegation places come the end of the campaign.
The team are not among the higher scorers in the division, managing to find the net just 12 times so far, but their defence has been relatively sound, conceding on 17 occasions thus far. Only midfielder Jimmy Durmaz has managed to score more than two goals so far this season, with the Swede on three, but Toulouse’s strikers will surely need to contribute more if they are to have a chance of staying in the top-half.
For Metz meanwhile, things look very bleak after the first third of the season. The side are rock bottom of the table after 12 matches, winning just once and losing the other 11. Coach Philippe Hinschberger paid the price for the terrible start and he was sacked almost a month ago, with Frederic Hantz taking charge. Not much has changed however despite one League Cup win.
Toulouse v Metz predictions
Metz are a huge eight points adrift of safety now and time is running out for the team to give themselves a chance of staying up. They face a number of mid-table sides in the upcoming weeks and a couple of wins as a minimum will be vital.
We think this will be a low-scoring game and advise backing a bet of Under 2.5 Match Goals, while for an alternative bet, we suggest backing a Toulouse win and Under 2.5 Match Goals.
For our correct score bet, we are predicting a 2-0 win for the home team.
