Sassuolo vs Verona predictions

Sassuolo vs Verona predictions-Hellas Verona suffered yet another defeat on Monday night, going down 3-2 at home to Bologna. That led to protests from the ultras outside the ground, who aren’t happy with the club plummeting back down to Serie B. They have fallen four points shy of safety, picking up just six points from their opening 13 league matches this term. However, will they be able to pick up their second win of the season when they travel to Sassuolo on Saturday?

The visitors are yet to win an away game in this league so far, which is something they really need to change. They’ve also got to end their current five game losing run as soon as possible, to prevent any more unrest from fans. However, the quality of this side just doesn’t seem up to Serie A standard – something which is becoming a habit with promoted sides. Luckily they’re up against another side who are in danger of the drop.

Sassuolo are sat in 16th place, despite picking up a win last weekend. The Neroverdi very nearly became the first side to drop points against Benevento this season. They were drawing 1-1 with the league’s bottom side after 90 minutes and then missed a penalty before a last minute winner gave them a much needed victory. It was just their third win of the season, the only problem for Sassuolo is that all of those wins have come on the road.

Sassuolo vs Verona predictions

This clash pits together the side with the worst home record in the league (two points from six games) against the team with the third worst away record (also two points from six). It’s hard to see much between these two sides, especially with Sassuolo struggling so much in front of their own fans. They’ve scored just one goal at home so far, but on the upside they’ve conceded just seven times. Could this be a chance for Sassuolo to stop the rot?

We think both sides will be looking at this game and thinking that they can fix their form with a result. A defeat is unthinkable for either, while they both average under a goal per game this season. We can’t see a high scoring game or anything too entertaining, and we think these two sides could cancel each other out and take a point out of this game. With these two searching for a first home win and away win respectively, we can’t see either team edging it, so we think the value here lies in backing a draw.
