Liverpool vs Spartak Moscow predictions- It’s fair to say that Liverpool didn’t get off to the greatest start in the Champions League group stages as they failed to beat Sevilla at home, but despite a few hiccups along the way they find themselves top of the group coming into the final round of group games.
All the favour is in Liverpool’s court, but things aren’t done and dusted just yet. They are only three points ahead of 3rd placed Spartak Moscow, and with Sevilla just a point behind in 2nd there is still a small chance that Liverpool could move down to 3rd. It would require a seven goal turnaround in goal difference at home to Spartak though, so it’s a very unlikely possibility.
We can expect to see a full strength side from Jurgen Klopp’s men as well, because with Sevilla playing against Maribor he knows that his team will likely need a win in order to hold on to the top spot.
This could all have been avoided in the last game though. They shockingly led 3-0 away from home against Sevilla at half-time, but even more shockingly they managed to throw away that lead and draw 3-3. Admittedly, they probably would have taken a draw at the start, but to collapse like that is unacceptable at this level.
Liverpool vs Spartak Moscow predictions
Liverpool have bounced back though, beating Stoke 3-0 and thrashing Brighton 5-1, both away from home. This free scoring way of playing is hugely entertaining, and Spartak Moscow will be very worries about their chances of keeping the hosts at bay.
Spartak Moscow can’t just sit back and defend either. If they want to stand any chance of making it through to the knockout stages they need to come out and attack Liverpool, and considering they haven’t managed to keep a single clean sheet in the Champions League this season it doesn’t bode well for their defence.
Liverpool have scored at least three goals in a huge seven of their last eight competitive games, and have done so in their last three Champions League games as well. Backing Liverpool Over 2.5 Team Goals looks fantastic value, and we’re going for that along with a 3-1 correct score predictions.
We’re also opting for Roberto Firmino to find the net. The Brazilian forward has scored five goals in the group stages so far, and his two goals against Brighton on Saturday make it four goals in Liverpool’s last four competitive games. Given his form he looks a great value choice for our anytime goalscorer Liverpool vs Spartak Moscow predictions.
