Hearts vs Ross County predictions- After being plagued by stadium troubles all season, Hearts returned to Tynecastle last weekend as they took on Partick Thistle. They drew 1-1 in their return to their own ground, which isn’t the greatest way to kick off a potentially crucial run of home matches. Having played nine of their 14 matches so far away from home – and four at an alternative ground – Hearts now have a run of five straight home matches taking them up to Christmas. Can they start that with a win over Ross County?
The visitors should put up a challenge here, given that they only lost 1-0 against Celtic on Saturday. Ross County aren’t too far above the drop in the Scottish Premiership, but they did well to make such a competitive game out of their clash with the champions. Celtic are streets ahead of everyone and the Staggies can’t really be compared to the champions, but this clash with Hearts is more up to their speed.
Hearts vs Ross County predictions
Hearts will be hoping to push back in to the top half of the table in the coming weeks, especially with so many home games to come. If they hit the ground running December could be a great month for the Jambos, but we see Ross County making thing difficult on Saturday. The visitors have to try and make this a tough battle, especially given their lack of firepower up front. It seems the decision to sell Liam Boyce last summer is being felt away from home, as Ross County are averaging just 0.83 goals per game on the road – failing to score in four of their last five away.
Hearts haven’t found their home games to be that easy this season. They returned to Tynecastle with a 1-1 draw, and they’ve not scored more than one goal in any of their home Premiership games this term, either at Tynecastle or Murrayfield. That’s a run which should continue here, as the last three meetings between these two sides at Tynecastle have seen Hearts score just once.
The Jambos have scored just 0.93 goals per game this season, so we see them struggling to find the net in this game. The previous five matches between these two sides at Tynecastle have seen under 2.5 goals land, and we expect that to come in again with neither side impressing going forward, while Ross County are looking better at the back. We’re backing under 2.5 goals here, while we can see another 1-1 draw for the hosts.
